My little brother
This photo is one of my favorites. It depicts my brother. We are three simblings in my family. My brother was born first,my sister after three years and I after ten years. Thus, this photo entitled "My little brother" contradicts reality. My brother is a human with autism. He grew up and still lives in the small community of Tripoli in Greece. A large part of society rejected him as a  member of it. The reason is that he was "different" from all other children, resulting in his alienation from it.
He is a human being with a different way of thinking and perceiving. We live in the same world, but he perceives it differently. He is a very clever character, which many questions are constantly derived from. What is different and what is normal?
Through our beautiful and difficult moments I learn a lot about him, about me, my family, and apparently about the world we live in.
It is a beautiful note in my life.
Living with a person with autism, made me see the world with a different perspective, to see a little through his own eyes. It taught me to be spontaneous, to accept diversity, to admire simple everyday things, to appreciate life.
With this photo I want to bring to the surface the social problem that children with autism face, but also to ask questions to the public. As a creator I try not to give ready-made chewed food or any specific message to the audience. I want to create questions and issues of thought about the social perception we have as individuals, of diversity and "normality".
